A reward is being offered for help in finding two women who allegedly tried to take two shopping carts filled with groceries from a supermarket in Islandia.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the women they say attempted to steal two shopping carts filled with groceries from Stop & Shop, located at 1730 Veterans Memorial Highway, on Feb.7 at approximately 8:10 p.m. 

The total value of the merchandise was approximately $1,234, according to Suffolk Police.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest, said the police report.
